wonderful! I can't speak for the cover because I don't use it but this organizer was great! To be completely plastic I found to be very strong, especially when fully assembled. I also removed 2 shelves to accommodate tall boots with problem. I find that any budget can contain 2 pairs of shoes my husbands or 3 pairs of mine.
